ETRiS contributed to the GEM–EGU Summer School on GeoHazards Risk, held from 9–13 September 2024 at the University of Aveiro, Portugal.

The summer school provided a comprehensive training programme on earthquake-induced hazards, including ground shaking, liquefaction, landslides, and tsunamis.

As part of the programme, Fatemeh Jalayer from ETRiS presented a course on vulnerabilities to tsunamis, introducing participants to key concepts relevant to tsunami risk analysis and vulnerability assessment.

The event provided an opportunity to connect tsunami-risk research with broader multi-hazard training and capacity-building activities.
