The First Annual Meeting of People-Centred Early Warning for the Indian Coastlines (PCTWIN) was held in Kochi, Kerala, from 8–11 April 2025.
The meeting focused on building inclusive and community-driven tsunami early warning systems across India’s coastline.
Hosted by INCOIS in collaboration with University College London (UCL) and supported by the UKRI–MoES project, the event brought together experts from across India and beyond. Participants included the Kerala State Disaster Management Authority (KSDMA) and local representatives from Edavanakkad, a village participating in the UNESCO-IOC Tsunami Ready programme.
Fatemeh Jalayer is the Principal Investigator of the project, contributing to its scientific leadership and international collaboration efforts.
