Our new paper titled “Empirical tsunami fragility modelling for hierarchical damage levels” is published in Natural Hazards and Earth System Sciences‘ special issue Tsunamis: from source processes to coastal hazard and warning.
This paper describes how to model an ensemble of empirical fragility curves for heierarchical damage levels and obtain confidence intervals which reflect the number of data points. It also shows how to choose the best generalized regression model that fits the data with smallest number of parameters. The paper is accompanied by open source software that derives the fragility curves from data consisted of pairs of intensity measure and damage evaluated at the located of damaged buildings and/or assets at risk.
